Stan Xidas, his wife, Kim, and their three children have made Wilmette their home since 1988.  Originally moving from Nashville, TN, where they remodeled two homes, the Xidas’ purchased a turn of the century Victorian home in Wilmette.  After intense interior renovations and painting the previous “painted lady” home in pinks and greens, their home was discovered by a Warner Bros. location scout and used as “Margaret’s house” in the 1992 John Hughes produced film “Dennis the Menace”.

Stan’s previous business was a successful music production company located in Chicago, for which he still does an occasional project.  He supplied original music to advertising agencies here in Chicago and across the country.  He was also a partner in Five Star Music, a Nashville song publishing company.  While producing music and writing songs for the likes of Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Chevrolet, Kraft and Gerber, he still had the desire to do more in real estate.  As opportunities presented themselves to purchase and renovate or build from the ground up, Stan jumped at the chance, and quickly realized that he had the organizational skills to be a successful project manager/general contractor.

He then formed a new corporation moniker, like any family business, with the initials of his three sons, JNS (Jordan, Niko and Stefan).  And, in keeping with a small family business, Stan’s wife, Kim, an interior decorator, is available to help clients with their selection of cabinetry, stone, light fixtures, paint colors, etc (Kim Xidas Design).  Stan's passion for doing the very best and giving his attention to every detail has made him a sought after builder/contractor on the North Shore of Chicago.
